What is a virtual private network?

  • Updated

A virtual private network extends a private network across a public network and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network.

To explain it in the most simple way, it is a feature that lets you change the virtual location of your device, so that other devices or websites would recognize your location as the one you have chosen to connect to and not your physical location.
