If you wish to purchase a premium subscription, you can do so directly via the Atlas VPN website.

Connecting

1. There are two options to connect to a VPN server:

    • By clicking the Quick Connect button, you will automatically be connected to a suitable server based on a few criteria, such as the distance to the server and the server load.

    • Alternatively, you can tap on the Location button on the main screen to bring up a server list that will allow you to connect to a specific location.

2. When connecting to a server for the first time, you will get a prompt asking you to set up a VPN connection on your device. Click OK to accept the request. This is necessary so that the Atlas VPN app could create and manage a VPN tunnel.

App settings overview

Navigate to the Settings page by tapping the cogwheel icon on the bottom right of the app screen. There you will see a few setting options: General, VPN protocol, and Split Tunneling.

Here is a quick rundown of the options:

    • VPN protocol - determines the establishment of the encryption and the way data is transferred between your device and the VPN gateway. You can find more information about the connection protocols here.

    • Split Tunneling - allows you to choose the apps that will not be routed through the VPN tunnel when you are connected to one of our servers.

In the General options tab, you will find the Quick-Connect Options and the Kill switch feature:

    • Quick-Connect Options - use this feature to choose the location you will be connected to after pressing the Quick-Connect button.

    • Kill switch - this feature will disable the internet connection on your device if the VPN connection is unexpectedly interrupted. This ensures that no unsecured browsing can occur until the connection to a VPN server is restored.
