In this guide, we will go through the installation process of the Atlas VPN application on macOS devices. This app is a simple way to secure your internet traffic on your macOS device.
Note: the Atlas VPN application is only available on macOS 11.0 or later. Older versions of macOS are not supported.
Atlas VPN no longer supports updates past the 2.7.1 app version on macOS 10.15. If you are using this version of macOS, you will only be able to use the previously downloaded 2.7.1 version of Atlas VPN.
- To start, head to the download page and click on Download free. This will redirect you to the App Store where you will be able to install the Atlas VPN app.
- Once you are on the App Store page, click on Get, or the cloud icon to download and install the app. You may be asked to confirm this with Touch ID or your Apple ID password.

The installation process is fully automatic and once it is complete, the Atlas VPN app icon will appear on your Launchpad.
Open the app and log in to enjoy the VPN.
Note: the appearance of the App Store, as well as the Atlas VPN app, will depend on the color/theme settings on your macOS device.
