If after testing your connection speed you have determined that the difference is too big for you and imposes on your normal internet usage, you may use these steps to troubleshoot the issue for your Windows device:
- Restart your device.
- Try different VPN servers. The closer the server to your location physically, the better the speed.
- Try switching from Wi-Fi and wired connection to see which one would work better.
- Try disabling your firewall and testing your connection speed, to see if there might be any unnecessary restrictions set up.
- Try changing the connection protocol for your VPN application:
On the Atlas VPN application click on Settings, scroll down to Advanced settings and choose IPSec/IKEv2 or WireGuard to see which one would produce better results.
