Locating the User ID on Linux

In this article, we will go through the steps you should take to locate the User ID via the terminal using a Linux device. Let's dive into it! 

Note: You should log into the account that has your active premium subscription, as otherwise, the Atlas VPN application will display a different User ID.

  1. Once you are logged into your account on Linux, open the terminal by pressing Ctrl, Alt, and T keys together.

  2. Copy-paste this command into the terminal and press enter to run it:
    atlasvpn account

  3. You will see your account information. Your User ID will be displayed next to UUID.


To provide our customer care team with your User ID, simply copy and paste it to the email form.
