Interference between antivirus software and VPN service can cause connectivity issues. This can be prevented by whitelisting Atlas VPN in the antivirus settings. Follow this guide to learn how you can do that and save yourself from trouble!

  1. Open the AVG application and click on Menu at the top right corner of the app window.

  2. Select the Settings section.

  3. In the General section, choose Exceptions and click the button ADD EXCEPTION.

  4. Click NEXT in the pop-up window.

  5. Then, click I UNDERSTAND RISKS. If you have downloaded Atlas VPN from our website, there is no need to worry about security risks.

  6. To add the Atlas VPN app to the exceptions, click BROWSE.

  7. Locate the Atlas VPN folder. By default, Atlas VPN location is C:\Program Files\AtlasVPN. When you find the Atlas VPN folder, tick the box next to it and click OK.

  8. Afterward, click ADD EXCEPTION.

  9. Lastly, restart your computer to apply these changes.

And that is it, you have successfully made an exception for Atlas VPN in the settings of the AVG antivirus!
