No internet access when Atlas VPN app is opened

  • Updated

Have you lost your internet access once you have opened the Atlas VPN application? No worries, we are here to help. In this article, we will look into this issue and provide the troubleshooting steps to solve it. Read on!

Atlas VPN has a Kill switch feature that prevents data leaks if you are disconnected from the VPN. This feature is enabled by default. Once you open the Atlas VPN app, the Kill switch feature starts working and cuts off your internet access. To solve this issue, you can either connect to one of the VPN servers or disable the Kill switch feature.

Here is how you can disable the Kill switch feature on different operating systems:

Windows

On the Atlas VPN app, click the Settings button on the left side of the window. Go to the Security tab and toggle the Kill switch off.
