macOS connecting

  • Updated

There are three ways to connect to a VPN server:

  1. Clicking the Quick Connect button. This will connect you to your preferred server or a suitable server, which will be selected based on a few criteria, such as the distance to the server and the server load.

  2. Clicking on a specific country in the list of servers. This will connect you to a server within the chosen area.

  3. Connecting from the menu bar. Click on the Atlas VPN logo in the menu bar and select a server you want to connect to.

After you connect to a VPN server, the connection status in your application will be changed to protected. When establishing a connection for the first time, you will be asked to authenticate this with your keychain password (the password that is set on your macOS device). This is needed so that the Atlas VPN app could create and manage a VPN tunnel.

To disconnect from a server, you will need to click the Quick Connect button once more.
